I thought I was done with “The Whiteness of the Whale” painting, but apparently, I wasn’t.  It leans against my studio / garage wall and the more I look at it the more I realize it hits below the mark; or nowhere near it. I don’t feel the painting activates the surface. I keep playing various scenarios of painting it over in my mind that seem could be way better than what I have now.  I am trying to decide whether to re-stretch a new canvas or paint over the old painting.  Who am I kidding?  Of course I will try to paint over the old image working on it for a few months and then re-evaluate my strategy.
